Steve Kerr is still beating the drum. Less is more.

I hope the NBA can zoom out and begin to view a basketball game like an iPhone. A professional basketball game is a product that must be improved boundlessly, with the only parameters being not going out of business.

The Association is a boom town, with the Lakers sale creating ground for the pinch me valuations of expansion franchises reaching numbers that would make anyone not on guard start drooling.

The money daze does not leave air for long-term thinking. Someone detached needed to step in with an armful of water balloons and provide cold sobriety.

It’s apparent that Kerr has enough champion running through his blood to start throwing. For each season that passes without meaningful change to improve each game for the fans, the NBA’s vision of what matters for the integrity of the game becomes blurrier.

Get in the ice bath that Steve has put in front of you, hold your breath, and go under. It’s time to do the hard thing and tell the stakeholders that you’re done bringing an iPhone to market that cracks each time you open an app.
